Aximmetry does have an FBX recorder for this purpose. Although I've personally not found it that reliable. What has worked for me though is using the take system in Unreal engine to record the PTZ data of the camera blueprint directly.

I've done this a few times whereby I want to change out the background later or do a separate 'final' comp in Fusion or some other compositing software. You can also output the camera as an FBX from UE for use in other software.

Hello,

What do you mean exactly by "Output Virtual Camera"? That would help us get you an accurate answer.

"Output virtual camera" as in sending out a video signal to another application for example OBS to read so OBS can use the feed from aximmetry to stream/broadcast, if that makes sense.

An easy way to do this is via NDI protocol. It allows you to send a video signal wherever you have a network or internet connection. You can even set up a 'virtual' webcam feed so apps like zoom can display your live feed as if it were a webcam device.

Step 1: Google Aximmetry + NDI

Step 2: There is no Step 2

Hello,

here is a small page that shows how to use NDI with Aximmetry. (make sure to have the NewTek software package installed.)

thanks Ahmed! appreciate it. One last question i do need to have the professional license to gain access to the option for the NDI output right?

Hello Jowin,

Yes it is needed.

While NDI is the way to do this within aximmetry, it would be nice to have a feature such as OBS's "start virtual camera" to make a webcam-type output for use in zoom, teams, webex, etc... whether it be in the outputs devices, or just a module. we're using the studio version of the software for micro setups and have to do an NDI workaround, but having this ability would really clean up our use case.

I second that. Axi-Studio version is targeted at youtubers and solo users... most likely using stuff like OBS, zoom, teams, twitch etc...

With no NDI out and no virtual webcam out, it's pretty hard to use Axi-Studio for anything more than local recording.

Paying 1500€ more just for a NDI out (then converted to a virtual webcam) is a bit of a bummer.

Adding a virtual webcam (WDM) output could solve this issue without having to undercut the "professional" version.

This or a single NDI in or out maybe? Even as an premium option (Like "Studio Plus" tier) to have a an intermediate option before "professional" ?

Hi,

The WDM output has been requested before: https://my.aximmetry.com/post/1705-feature-request-wdm-output-in-studio-ver
We will consider adding it in future releases. And we bumped its priority based on your feedback.

Warmest regards,
