Want to clarify the relationship on Aximmetry versions with the Decklink card have both HDMI and SDI

Hello,

Refer to the following 2 post,

I would like to clarify, with Studio or Community version, can I use Decklink 4k Extreme 12G card with the HDMI input and output?

Is that now all the Decklink card with SDI and HDMI port will only disable the SDI port when using in Studio or Community version?

Thank you!

Hello,

Yes, you can use that card with Studio and Community editions to do so you need to change the setting in the Blackmagic Desktop Video software, set the HDMI port to active.
You can use other BM cards this way as well.

Hello,

I got my 4K extreme 12G today but cannot use the HDMI output. So this is the same case as the following discussion?

https://my.aximmetry.com/post/729-blackmagic-decklink-4k-extreme-12ghdmi-ou

So there is no way to skip the Blackmagic SDI output?

The same case if I buy a Blackmagic mini monitor 4K that also have both SDI and HDMI, can I use the HDMI port with Studio version? Professional version is too expensive to setup multi camera and camera with HDMI is not bad at all. And I got difficulty to get a intensity card in my area.

Hi,

It seems to be the same case as in the discussion.

If your card doesn't make a distinction between SDI and HDMI (no matter what port you use) you will need a Professional or Broadcast license.
If you have a card that only has HDMI, then Community or Studio license should be enough.

Warmest regards
