Sony BRC-X1000 tracking speed problem

Hi

I https://my.aximmetry.com/post/487-panasonic-aw-ue150-freed-tracking-profile this but though I wanted to make own post.

In the weekend I did set up 3 Sony PTZ to 1 Aximmetry. In the Sonys I did set the FreeD stream to port 54000, 55000 and 56000 and added the Aximmetry IP.

After that I did lens file for each camera seperatly.

When I started Aximmetry it semmed that zoom worked OK but when I did do pan-movment in my opinion the graphics in Aximmetry moved about double compered to the movement of the real picture.

Since I needed to do other testing I didnt focus on resolving or analyzising this problem more.

Is there any fix on the way? For me it seems like Aximmetry is reciving the freeD-information it does just interperterate it wrong.

We just bought a Sony BRC-X1000 and haven't tried it yet! it did arrive yesterday and we intend to use it with AX, I'll check this as soon as i have time as we're working on other things in these days, I will inform you once tested!

Good luck with everything

Hi

Here is the offical sensor size from Sony if you dont have it already
"The common  physical  dimensions of  the BRC-X1000/H800 PTZ  camera  UHD  sensor  are   H=9.216mm x V=5.184mm"

Thank you for the information above, i didn't have it no, we're just scratching the surface of the Ax software, see this post on AX FB group here, a lot of resources and you can see my post also ;) that if you're not already part of this group : https://www.facebook.com/100001847605416/videos/5164345800303622/

Could you mind telling me the procedure you followed? this might spare us big time as we're stil "experimenting" with AX, this way I can ask one of my collaborators to follow your steps and then report back about the issue you had! would be of a great help, for both of us I hope;)

Thank you in advance

the process was basically to follow the tutorial for lens calibration

since I have the DE version what I did was

- in X1000 started the tracking data

- create lens files following the tutorial (since I did test files not needed for broadcast I just did fast and dirty one for each camera)

- use a project the startup UE project

- add a TV and a virtual screen to the TV (see tutorial)

- add tracked cameras to unreal project

- cock project

- in AX add camera, tracking and lens files

- in the new project drag in the unreal project file and tracked camera module

- connect the nodes

- wonder why it isnt working like you thought it would :)

Hi Markus,

The double motion usually the result of specifying the Free-D device for both Tracking Device and Zoom Device properties.

Zoom Device have to be only specified if you use a separate lens encoder system, like Glassmark or Vanishing Point Viper.

Since the PTZ sends zoom/focus data embedded with the position, you only have to specify Tracking Device.   Please reset the Zoom Device property.

Hi Zoltan and Markus,

Thank you very much for your contribute and your time! We made the test following Zoltan's steps and the result is excellent ;) so I would say to Markus to do the same thing and you'll be all set up and good to go

Thanks again
