Capture Card Connection Problem

Hello, I am studying Aximetry.

I'm trying to get a powerpoint from another computer through a capture card (or capture driver), but the capture card is not recognized by the video input module in the aximmetry.

(I have three types of capture cards/drivers and all are not recognized. The capture card works fine with vMix.)

The device name of the capture card appears in the select box, but the capture screen does not appear.

Is there something wrong with the setting?

Please check.

Hi,

Please follow the instructions here: https://my.aximmetry.com/post/1768-problems-with-capturing-video-inputs

You will likely need to use the /dshowlegacy command line parameter. You can read here more about it and how to use it: https://my.aximmetry.com/post/2831-does-aximmetry-support-gopro-webcam

Warmest regards,

Hello

As you told me above, I succeeded in connecting to the capture card through /dshowlegacy. Thank you.

By the way, what is the difference between running Axi through /dshowlegacy and the normal version??

Is there no problem if I proceed with the same live event?

Hi,

/dshowlegacy replaces the Microsoft Media Foundation multimedia framework pipeline with the legacy Microsoft DirectShow multimedia framework in Aximmetry.

I think you should have no problem with a live event. But make sure that Aximmetry detects all your used video and audio devices with the /dshowlegacy parameter.
And of course, before the live event, you should run your setup for an extended period of time just to be sure that everything works over longer durations. You should do this anyway, especially if you are doing a new project.

Warmest regards,
