Several questions

Hi!

I've sent a few emails to the support team already, but please let me copy and paste what I wrote to have the answer as soon as possible:CAMERA. We are in a hurry:

AUGMENTED REALITY:

We are seriously thinking about purchasing an OnAir license of your DE Version to work with UE4  but we are really worried about the lack of information and documentation of the AR workflow.

We have spent hours and hours learning your software and we do love it.  But this specific point is disturbing because our clients are starting to demand graphics, data, etc.. using the AR technology.  We don’t need nothing complicated, just 3d objects on the stage in front of the host and some bars or charts supplied from an Excel file.

So… could it possible to get some information, tutorial or just a simple clue of how to do this?  We’d appreciate it.

We hope all this is possible. If not, please let us know to carry on working in other direction and finding and alternative.

CAMERA TRACKING:

As I mentioned in my last email we want to buy the OnAir DE  license.  We’re facing a new challenge.   One of our clients’ just called and he wants to broadcast a fashion show with a catwalk and everything with multicamera production in a virtual environment.  So, we need to be absolutely sure the camera tracking is working fine.

Apart from the AR issue I mentioned in my last email, we need to know if we have the chance to try the camera tracking somehow.  We don’t mind if it has a huge watermark but we do need to check this is working fine.

Is there any way to do this?

Thank you very  very much

 Again; my kindest regards.

You can find a simple AR tutorial scene at:
[Tutorials]:AR\AR_Example.xcomp
Within a few days we publish an AR-specific manual.
However you can use our tracked camera documentation for this:

https://aximmetry.com/learn/tutorials/for-studio-operators/setting-up-virtual-sets-with-tracked-cameras/

It demonstrates using tracking with virtual sets, but AR is basically a simpler version of that without keying, green setup and billboards. In the example scene you'll see the simpler AR-specific control boards.
Also there is a doc on simplified lens calibration:

https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/preparation-of-the-production-environment-phase-i/tracking/basic-calibrator/

Also it's important for you to know:  the Broadcast and OnAir Editions for UE4 has not been released yet, it's expected within a couple of months.
However we can provide a Broadcast SE trial for you to be able to test the tracking.
