FreeD Tracking is unstable

Hi,

I asked about connecting more than 2 pc with 1 Mars.

https://my.aximmetry.com/post/2335-mars-freed-multicast-group

So I tried this way, and it works well. However, whenever I change IP last number as 255, Mars Rover and Base station kept lost their signal. I have to restart the Mars for fix this problem but after some time it begins to lost the signal.

I don't think it's base station position problem becasue it works well with one on one setting (1pc-1Mars, direct IP). Is it the only way to connect more than 2pcs with 1 Mars? There were no reports of this kind of problem?

Hi Suyeon,

Using normal or broadcast IP https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadcast_address should cause no difference to Aximmetry.
However, your router might have issues with the broadcast IP. You should make sure that the router you use with tracking is not used for any other purposes. Only computers that will use this tracking data are connected to this router. And no Wi-Fi is used.
If the issue still persists, then it might be an issue or a wrong setting in Vive Mars: https://www.vive.com/eu/support/camtrack/category_howto/mars.html

Warmest regards,
