Mars FreeD Multicast Group

Hi,

I'm using Vive Mars for tracking.

Since Mars has only 1 FreeD IP to send data, is it possible to use One Mars Server with 2 different Ip PCs?

And what is mulicast group on Edit Device session? Can I use this to get freed data with machines with different IPs?

Hi,

You can set the last byte of the IP address to broadcast in the case of Vive Mars.
So for example, if your PC has the IP address 192.168.1.1, then you can set the target IP to 192.168.1.255 in Vive Mars. And then all the PCs with IPs between 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.254 will receive the FreeD data.

The Multicast group option should also be able to use the FreeD data across different IP PCs. However, we detected some issues with it and we are investigating it.

Warmest regards,
