Scopes, Vectors, Waveforms and Other Video Utilities

Hiya, There's a post from 2017 on this forum around this but I've not noticed anything since then.

Unless I've missed it I've not found any scope utilities within Aximmetry that would aid in color correction or grading.

I can probably cobble something together but before I do so I thought I'd ask here to save some time, ideally I'd have some form of Parade and/or vector scopes to ensure correct color balance in live comps as well as exposure and skin tone etc.

Currently I'm sending a signal out over NDI and loading up scopes in a separate app but it makes a lot more sense to do it in Aximmetry!

Hi,

There is also a post from 2021: https://my.aximmetry.com/post/1403-hello-aximmetry

We have this on our feature request list. And we plan to add it in a future release.

Warmest regards,

Hi there.

Just to warm up this request and reiterate how important scopes are for a solid workflow and how cool it would be to have scopes directly in Axy... :-)
Currently we're using NDI out plus this (currently free) external scopes which work like a charme:

Maybe something to get you guys inspired? ... :-)

Cheers & all the best.

Eric.

Yes Eric! We are indeed using NDI scopes (I guess as it was formally known.) Looks like there's been a recent update though so we'll get on that.

I've played with external monitors and hardware but it's nice having it 'in PC' since that's where you're doing the work.

I think Aximmetry is used a lot for post-production workflows, where Waveform monitor, and Vector scope would be of great help, when tuning the images from different sources.

Hi Eric,

Thank you for the link. It has been forwarded to the developers.
Rest assured, we have not overlooked this request. And eventually, it will rise to the top of development priorities.

Warmest regards,

Hi, I am the developer of LiveScopes.tv (previously known as NDIScopes). It is always nice to find people in these forums using my software :D
If you have any feature suggestions that would help you in your specific usecase let me know :D. (Also there is a PRO version coming up with NDI + Webcam + DeckLink support. Maybe that makes connecting Livescopes to Aximmetry easier for you.)

Best regards,
Marc

Hi Marc.

Thanks for chiming in. Great stuff you developed there!
Maybe Aximmetry would be interested to team up with you in terms of developing an 'extra branch' of Livescopes for Axy.
Would save them some dev time and maybe earn you some extra Euros... :-)

(Just tooting out a wild suggestion here... :-))

Cheers.

Eric.

Oh hi Marc!

Big thanks for putting something out there for free that we use every day in the studio! You've got yourself a purchase of the pro version coming your way when it's ready for us.

Hi Eric, Hi Cookseyyyyy,
I am glad that you like it :D
Feel free to send me any suggestions on improvements or new features that you might need.
Also make sure to join the waitlist on my website
https://broadcasttools.de/livescopes-tv-pro/#join-waitlist .
There is also an overview of the new features coming up in the pro version. If you are interested in beta testing the software you can also check that box in the waitlist form and you might receive early access in the next days or weeks.

LiveScopes for Axy Sounds fun. I am quite interested in what extra features one might need to better work with Aximmetry.

The warmest of regards,

Marc
