Installing Error: Could Not Access Common Library 2022.1.0

Here's the error I got when I was trying to install the Aximtery DE:

Error Description:

Could not access Common Library 2022.1.0 : Time Out

OS: Windows 10 Workstation Version 20H2

-------

Solutions I've tried, but :

  1. Turn off the firewall
  2. Clean anything related Aximmetry in Regedit
  3. Connection checked
  4. Use Administrator role to run the installer

None of them works.

So is there anything I can do for fix this issue? Thx!

not quite the same issue i had, but check this part of the registry as well:

You need to remove the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Aximmetry Technologies\Aximmetry\ProjectsDir in your registry editor.

what I did to get my install to work for an error in reading the network location, was to install the program on another computer(we have an identical machine) and bring the folders over.

Hi,

I think the "Common Library 2022.1.0 : Time Out" is a different problem than the "Could not access network location" problem.
It is most likely an internet connection related issue.

It could have been that the Aximmetry's servers were not working when you tried. The servers work now, so if the problem still exists then this is not the problem.

If the problem still persists, can you tell me more about your internet connection, do you use VPN or an anti-virus program? And which windows display language is used on your windows?
Also, you can download the libraries directly from here: https://my.aximmetry.com/User/MyPackages

Hi,

Just to add to this, some of the VPN solutions will cause the above error. So if you are using VPN and run into this problem, try it without a VPN or install Aximmetry without the libraries and then download the libraries from here: https://my.aximmetry.com/User/MyPackages

Hello! I downloaded the libraries directly from /mypackages, but I don't know how to display them. When I double-click on them, an error pops up saying 'could not access network location.' Also, they don't appear inside Axy under the Projects tab. Should they be located inside a specific folder?

Hi,

It doesn't matter in which folder you placed the library install (xpack) file. It is likely that the destination folder which the installer can not access.
You can find a possible fix and workaround here: https://my.aximmetry.com/post/3293-common-library-empty-in-composer-de-2023
