Example to setup canon opencv protocol.

Hi, we would like to know how to setup the canon opencv.

As I'm confused by what is camera and why is the default A_.

Hi,

We found the solution to get it to work. we still need to put in the calibration profile.

And after digging through the canon cv metadata information.
The default camera index is A_.

Thanks for making the add-on for the camera. after figuring this out.

Everything was super easy to set up.

Hi Michael! We try to set up our C400 right now and dont know what we do wrong. Probably, you can help out?!

The connection in Unreal via the Canon Live Link Plugin works, but only aperture and focus data comes in. No Focal lenght / FOV or lens distortion data. In Aximmetry, we set it up as you wrote and after adding a calibration profile, the data comes in. But like in Unreal, only focus data.

Did you found a solution?

Thank you, best, Jan

Hi,

In the meantime, Jan has found a solution. You can find the details here along with other relevant information:  https://my.aximmetry.com/post/4329-canon-c400-lens-data

Dear Aximmetry team,

I have another question regarding the c400s workflow with Aximmetry. We are using a set of 3 Broadcast DE versions for our 3 Canon C400 cameras.

The initial connection to CV protocol works just fine, the cameras are sending the FIZ data to Aximmetry.

However now we want to add the RC-IP1000 controller to the mix so that our engineers have some control over the camera settings.

So now here is the question:

If our C400's are in XC protocol (to connect to the RC-IP1000, how can we still receive the FIZ data (which was originally sent over CV protocol)?

Is it something to solve on the Canon side or Aximmmetry?

I was asking multiple different GPTs but they are all hallucinating and I can't seem to find the correct answer. Thank you.
