Studio drifting with antilatency

Hi

I'm setting up a studio in Stockholm and I'm a bit stuck in the calibration process and could use some help from the experts here. If you look at the movie i got a pretty good calibration on the pan/tilt. But when I move the camera physically the hole studio follows. is there a setting in Aximmetry I'm missing our is my celling to badly done. when I look at the setting antilatency sent me they look correct but maybe the distance between the markers are off?

thanks

Hi,

I am having the same problem as you with Antilatency, I try tracking delay and when i move the camera, the whole checker moves with the wall, nothing sticks to the wall.  How are you lining up the studio setup?  Also what is your tracking delay at? Thanks!

Hi Hoichen.

My tracking delay is 0.25. I rest the "ptz rotation center hight from the floor" setting and that helped my alot. It's not drifting as much anymore. I try to follow the basic lens calibration guide at the wiki but some settings zolton talkes about their is not present anymore so it's really hard to tell why it's not perfect. I will keep trying.

I don't know if it does,

but I had the same problem with the HTC Vive, and by adjusting the Zoom of the scene, I managed to "put" the billboard on the floor, now it is well secured, it only gets lost when I make sudden movements with the camera, what will never happen.

Hi Laislafilmes That does not work for me sadly. Just to be clear the rot values of the delta head trans?

My tracker is above and infront of the camera lens.

becuase of that i move the y,z back and down to match the sensor.

Then i adjust the rot.

box 1 for tilt

box 2 for pan

Thank you both for the info and suggestion, aligning takes a lot of trial and error.

@Berrabonk, Do you know I get to the camera properties or is that from Blackmagic Broadcast? I am using Elgato 4kcam at the moment and can't find those setting. Thanks!

Hi Berrabonk,

If you had to adjust the "PTZ rotation center height" it means the origin of your tracking system is not aligned to the real floor of the studio.
Can I ask what tracking system do you use?
If you use HTC Vive or Antilatency you can follow this video for aligning your coordinate system to the real floor, it can improve things a lot.

"PTZ rotation center height" is only for PTZ cameras which cannot tell their position in the space. But if you use a tracking system that tells the position as well, the only way is using it properly is to align its coordinate system to the floor.
