NDI Problem

Hi. I ahve bought the PRO version just to have NDI support, in order to use Custom resolutions for the virtual LED walls. Ikm trying with several softwares like vmix, resolume, madmapper but it keeps flickering. I have tried with standard resolutions like 1080 or even 720 it keep saying "Cant keep latency", I have increased the latency on aximmetry until 100 but it keeps a bit longer but still saying no input every 10 seconds. In NDI studio Monitor and OBS  its all fine. Im sending NDI over a Gigabit network using several resolutions standard and non standard and trying several framerates. Im not using SDI just HDMI, so my license now seems a bit unuseful to me.

This is a problem with your NDI sources not delivering a steady frame rate over NDI. Have you checked that your Aximmetry frame rate matches the frame rate of your NDI sources? What kind of network switch are you using?

We have broadcast hundreds of hours with vMix sending NDI into Aximmetry without any issues, but we have a strong 10Gbe switch and a properly configured network.

NDI Monitor and OBS are probably dropping NDI frames as well, but they don’t display an error message when they do, so it’s harder to notice. If you can’t configure your network, you can just turn off the error message in Aximmetry instead. In settings, change to Show Last Frame instead, and the Can’t keep Latency message will be gone.

That make sens. I will check if all framerate matches. I usually use ndi with other softwares but with no problems but they dont displays an error message. If i use auto in ndi settings screen and the global framerate in axi matches with the output from other laptops it has to work properly. Another question is can I use custom resolutions like 3072x768?Is there any limitation? Or has to be a standard one like 1080...? Thank you

Hi,

For NDI output you can only use the standard resolutions listed at the moment.

For input you can select AUTO that will accept any incoming resolution the NDI system itself permits. (However we've never actually tried any nonstandard one.)
In Aximmetry there is a global limit for frame/texture dimensions which is 8192.

But to return to the original issue.

Recentrly we did some changes regarding the issue. Could you test if it still exists with the latest version?  Thank you.
