Jerky Movement / FPS Indicator drops

Hey!
Im using one NDI 4K 30FPS Stream to Aximmetry with my Camera Signal (Coming from Birddog 4K Flex) and another NDI 1080 30FPS Stream from a Vmix Machine for Playback on Videowalls.

Output is 1080 30FPS NDI to vMix Machine. Network Workload is fine.

Is it normal that the FPS Meter is not solid 30FPS and constantly bewteen 30.2 and 29.7 ?

I also get random Framedrops on my Screen and dips into the FPS Red. NDI hangs for some ms.
Machine is Ryzen5900x with RTX3080 hovering around 40% GPU usage and 44% CPU with my Unreal Scene.
Nothing else is running so there should be no Usage-Spikes from other Programs.

I also notice some jerky camera movement, like tearing on some camera paths.

Any idea what causes these problems?

Thanks!
Toby

Hi Toby,

Did you ever find a solution for this? I am experiencing the same behavior. My scenario and specs are very similar to yours.

Hey!

Yes, it was my Graphics Card overheating and throttling down. I used GPU-Z and looked at the "PerfCap Reason" parameter. Had the thermal paste on the card changed and reapplied and now everything works just fine. The RTX3080 Cards run pretty hot when not water cooled...
