No video input from Elgato 4k Card in Aximmetry DE Composer Community Edition

So I'm trying to get my Sony A7III 4k/24fps signal into Aximmetry via my Elgato Camlink 4k device. I double checked in obs and the camera and card are working fine. However I can't get a signal in Aximmetry. When launching normally in the start up config, it shows me the correct input signal of 4k/24fps but no signal when launched. I read on another post about trying to launch with the /dshowlegacy. That hasn't worked for me either. It only shows a 640p resolution input from my Elgato 4k card. My camera can't output that resolution nor would I want to use it if it could. I'm looking to purchase the studio version but I don't want to waste hundreds of dollars on a tool I can't use. Just looking to do some testing first before a purchase. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi,

We've no experience with this device so far, please allow us some more time to obtain and test one. Thank you!

Hi,

We've tested the device and found the following.

- For this specific device only the mode of the current input is displayed in the mode list. This is an unusual behaviour, but it is a driver-specific thing we cannot really do anything about. What you can do is either plugging the indended HDMI input into the device and then selecting the mode,  or simply entering the right mode with hand.
In the future versions we might add options for automatic mode selection to avoid these situations.

- Sometimes we experienced NO INPUT indication after a while even if the right mode was used.  It might be a sync issue. I recommend using the rendering frame rate for Aximmetry that is exactly identical to the video input frame rate.

For what it's worth I tested a camlink 4K in Aximmetry community edition, and I did get a signal, but the chroma sampling was quite bad for keying (I think it's only 4.2.0 8bit).
