AR - GLOW / BLOOM EFECT

Hi, I have a question what do I need to do to make glow /bloom visible on glowing objects when I use AR? I have the BLOOM option enabled in ""postprocess"", I even gave the tag AximmetryAR, but unfortunately it does not work. Do you have any solution?

Hi Casper,

Unfortunately the bloom information cannot be transferred via the alpha channel coming out from the Unreal scene.

However you can try to add bloom on the Aximmetry side.

Unlink the AR compound and enter it.

Find the Combine subcompound and enter it as well.

Find the Alpha Merger that combines the incoming color and alpha information.
You'll see a Tone Mapper inserted after it.

Select the Tone Mapper and turn on Glares.

Play with the Bright Threshold, Exposure etc. parameters to get the desired result.

You can also experiment with the Streaks and Ghosts (lens reflections) features as well.

Please note that in the case of AR the full HDR information is coming out from the Unreal scene which helps to put bloom on only the necessary parts.

Hi Casper,

In the next release (coming within a few days) this functionality will be added to the INPUTS control board as a panel named GLARES.
