HDMI Audio - Camera switch disables/mutes audio

Hi there,

We're having trouble with the audio input. We want to receive audio through multiple HDMI inputs. (We have Studio DE). When I select the correct HDMI port / channel, I get distorted/stuttered audio when the Camera switch is disabled. When I enable the switch as per the tutorial posted below (skip to 12:05) the audio disappears / gets muted. I don't get any levels. When I disable it, the audio is back but distorted. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Have you made the connection between the Audio 1 pins?

The Camera switch actually means that it accepts the audio via the Cam Audio 1, 2, 3 pins.

@Zoltan: We're experiencing issues with audio again. I have audio coming in via HDMI (Blackmagic Decklink Quad HDMI Recorder) but it distorts / stutters. If I enable the "camera switch" there is a difference in distortion (stutters are less frequent) but it's still there. I have the connections setup as per your image above.

Blackmagic media express picks up the audio via the card just fine and records fine as well. Any idea? Could it be a compatibility issue between Aximmetry and the card?

Thanks in advance.

@Zoltan: I have tested both Premiere Pro and OBS Studio as well and both work fine. So the issue definitely lies with how Aximmetry interprets the input. Please advise on how to resolve this. The workaround at the moment is to use a USB audio input device, however, we then battle with delays / syncing issues. We need the audio to travel with the video via HDMI.

Hi,

I'm sorry, we have to investigate the problem with the specific card before I can advice anything. Thank you for reporting!
