Passing Alpha video through Aximmetry to Unreal

I'm super impressed so far with the intergration between the software.

Does anyone know however, the best way to pass a video with an alpha material to be used as a material inside of UE?

So far I've got the object playing the video through Aximmetry onto the screen in UE, but in the level blueprint editor I can't see any options on the 'Get Aximmetry Video' node that denote alpha.

I could of course split the video and combine the two on alpha but I was wondering if there were  cleaner way of doing it.

Hi,

Actually the alpha channel of the video is also passed to Unreal along with RGB.
If you use a proper material that can make use of the alpha channel then it is there automatically.
(A good example of it is the Billboard texture itself which is also passed along with the alpha.)

What video codec to you recommend to use an alpha channel in the video?

Hi Magician,

To avoid misunderstanding, the original question was not about video files with alpha channel.  It was about sending alpha from Aximmetry to Unreal.

But to answer your question if you want to playback video files with alpha you can use ProRes4444+, CineForm or QuickTime Animation.
