Hi Aximmetry,
I found the reason why cause this problem.Actually we use the Unreal Editor for Aximmetry and the version is Axiemmetry DE 8.0.In the Unreal project if we use the the camera blueprint in Aximmetry_TrackedCam_3-Cam,Aximmetry will log "Clearing the OS cache".If we delete it and use the camera blueprint of Aximmetry_VirtualCam_3-Cam,it will open the unreal project. Why this happened?
Hi Aximmetry,
I use the latest Aximmetry_TrackedCam asset comes with the 8.0 Common Libraries. I download again and reinstall the library it sill has this problem.
Is there any difference between the Unreal Editor for Aximmetry 8.0?Now the Unreal Editor for Aximmetry I useing is the try version I applicated before. The aximmetry is I bought recently.
Hi Winton,
Starting from 8.0 the installers work differently. We renamed Unreal Editor for Aximmetry to Unreal Engine for Aximmetry, because now it contains not only the Unreal Editor, but also the runtime environment needed for embedded usage in Aximmetry (this environment previously was part if the Aximmetry DE installer itself).
This is the reason why we strongly recommend removing previous versions manually. That means that you have to uninstall both Aximmetry DE 2020.7.0 and Unreal Editor for Aximmetry 2020.7.0 manually before installing 8.0 or later.
Hi,
That is an incorrect workflow. You have to cook the Unreal project with the UNREAL ENGINE for Aximmetry.
Also, there are a few more things you have to do or you should consider doing. You can find a detailed documentation of it here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/tutorials/for-aximmetry-de-users/how-to-install-and-work-with-the-unreal-engine-based-de-edition/#how-to-create-your-own-projects
Warmest regards,
Dear @Eifert thank you for response.
When I run Aximmetry Unreal Engine and try opening a scene with it from scratch
I get the message "This scene is not compatible with Aximmetry UE - DE.
Then I run Regular UE and cook for windows and then re open it in Aximmetry UE. Then I can open it in Aximmetry. Waht is it that I'm doing wrong.?
Summarise: Open Regular UE. Create a project from my library. Cook it. Save Close.
2- Run UE Aximmetry. Open the scene. Do the stencil - player start - et all the settings and cook again and voila I have an running scene in Aximmetry.
Hi,
You don't need a regular Unreal Editor. In fact, you could make a new .uproject in Unreal Editor for Aximmetry and add that to Aximmetry Composer. And all long you wouldn't even have the regular Unreal Editor installed.
You can think of Unreal Editor for Aximmetry as a regular Unreal Editor plus some Aximmetry specific features. Unreal Editor for Aximmetry can pretty much do everything that the regular Unreal Editor can do.
You should be opening the .uproject file in Unreal Editor for Aximmetry, the same file you open in regular Unreal Editor. And not a cooked Unreal project.
So, you don't have to open the Unreal project with the regular Unreal Editor. Just open it with Unreal Editor for Aximmetry and cook it there.
Warmest Regards,
Dear Eifert,
I started an blank Aximmetry_UE5 beta project. I want to import a scene in to this blank project to work on it. As I go to the marketplace and try "add to project" The aximmetry project won't show up. Just regular UE projects seem there. and when I say show all projects and then try selecting the AximmetryUE5 it says it is not compatible select the closest version.
This is killing me.. Thank you once again. The scene I try is native 5.0 NEOS APARTMENT.
Any help is much appreciated.
Best Regards
Hi Sinemaya,
Give this a try:
1. Select "Show All Projects" when adding the asset from Marketplace.
2. Select your project that you created with Unreal for Aximmetry.
3. When you get to the prompt "Asset not compatible... select closest alternative..." click on the dropdown menu just below the message.
4. Select either 4.27 / 5 depending on what your closest version is.
5. Click "Add to project"
This works for me.
hi, i think you have to work with unreal editor for aximmetry.
