Unreal for Aximmetry won't start

Been having some weird issue.  After installing the new version of Aximmetry DE 2020.8 (after removing the previous version of Aximmetry and Aximmetry for Unreal), it would load the initializing windows and go up to 86% and then abruptly close without an error.  However an error message was pasted to the clipboard which say:

Assertion failed: (((HRESULT)(D3D12CreateDevice(nullptr, D3D_FEATURE_LEVEL_12_1, __uuidof(ID3D12Device), (void**)&mDX12Device))) >= 0) [File:E:\Build2\UnrealEngine\Engine\Plugins\Aximmetry\Source\Aximmetry\Private\AximmetryBase.cpp] [Line: 48]

I'm running on Windows 10 with a Radeon RX580 card (which worked great in the previous version of Aximmetry).

Really need to get it working again.  I would like to be able to download the previous version and see if it still work again to help narrow down the cause for not starting in the new version.  Aximmetry itself starts just fine.  It's just the Unreal for Aximmetry that is giving me problem right now.

Thanks

PS  One last thing, I installed the regular Unreal 4.25.4 from the EpicGameLauncher and it starts up just fine.

Hi wrdodd,
It's odd, because the previous version contained the exact same operation.

However for the upcoming release we modified this code part it may work again on your system.  It is coming soon.

In the mean time could you do the following test.
Load the project into the official Unreal. In Project Settings change RHI to DirectX 12.  What happens?   And if it works, could you try to load it into Unreal for Aximmetry?
Thank you.

 2020.8.1 absolutely fixed the issue. I believe it was that directx 12.1 issue that was mentioned in the what's new that took care of it.  It's all working fine now.
