MIDI control assignment to run different comp files?

I know you can load multiple comp files and they show up in tabs in the top and then you can click one of the tabs and click the "play" icon on the one you want to run.

Is it possible to assign a midi control to play different comp files?

No, unfortunately MIDI assignments only work within the context of the running compound, and cannot be used to switch between them.
