Problem with shaders while importing FBX model.

 

Hello, i`ve encountered a problem while working with imported geometry.


On the left is part of simple FBX model, and on the right is a box from aximmetry. Both are in the same scene, with the same lights and the same shader. As you can see, fbx model lack of any normals, roughness and other "effects". I`ve tried it with FBX, DAE files, with different shaders (PBR and non-PBR) and its always the same.


FBX/DAE are exported from blender. I don't know if its an issue with importing in aximmetry, exporting from blender or maybe something else. Anyone have any ideas, or maybe someone have the same problem?

I`m using aximmetry professional DE, newest version 2020.7.0.

Hi Marcin,
Most likely there is no or incorrect UV on the FBX model.

did you solve your problem I have the same symptom and have tried unsuccessfully to solve it.

Hi robert,

in my case, as mentioned before, lack of UV maps in FBX model was a problem.

The model was really simple, so i just opened it in blender, generate UV maps automatically and saved it once again. After that the problem was solved and everything worked as expected.
