Any chance to specify which NIC to take for NDI out?

Hi Guys.

In a few of our setups we have machines with three physical NICs, configured for:
- Internet
- Dante
- NDI

For some reason Axy on a daily basis 'randomly' picks any of those NICs to send it's Video Out.
Of course, when selecting 'Dante', it clogs our Audio Signal, which is undesirable.

What we tried so far (to no avail):

- Changing the NIC metrics to give NDI-NIC highest priority
- Running NDI Bridge
- Running NDI Discovery

Is there any hidden chance in Axy to specify which NIC to use?

Cheers & all the best.

Eric.

Answering my own question, after going through some loops, I think we found a solution.

Get latest (6.3.x as a minimum) NDI Tools

Axy PCs:

  • Install NDIDiscoveryService.exe as a Windows Service
  • Run NDI AccessManager / Advanced Tab
  • Fill in Discovery Servers (the local IP of your NDI NIC)
  • Select Preferred NIC (Your NDI NIC)

Receiving PCs:

  • Run AccessManager / Advanced Tab
  • In Discovery Servers Fill in the IP(s) of your Axy machine(s)
  • Select Preferred NIC (Your NDI NIC)

This hopefully fixed our issue.

Cheers & all the best.

Eric.
