Audio input Problem with Asio Driver

I am using a Yamaha 01V96i as my audio mixer and Aximmetry version 2025.3.

I have installed the ASIO driver on the PC, and I confirmed through the mixer’s digital control software that audio is coming into the computer correctly.
However, when I launch Aximmetry and set the audio device in the AudioInput module, if I hold the Ctrl key and check the audio pin, it shows “empty.” Also, there is no sound coming out from the output.

I also tried launching the program using the /asio command, but the result is the same.

And also I’m wondering where the AudioChannel of the Device Mapper is used.

If there is any way to resolve this issue, I would appreciate your help.

Hi,

To use ASIO input in Aximmetry, you must start Aximmetry with the /asio command line option.
In the Audio Input module's Device pin list, do you see your ASIO device? If not, likely, Aximmetry was not started with the /asio command.

Make sure to close any other applications that may be using the Yamaha ASIO driver. Many ASIO drivers are single-client, meaning only one application can access them at a time.

Additional tips for Yamaha 01V96i:

  • Ensure the USB connection is secure and use a USB 2.0 port (USB 3.x ports are compatible but operate in USB 2.0 mode).
  • Avoid using USB hubs.
  • Install and use the Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver, as recommended by Yamaha.
  • Check whether other third-party software can detect the Yamaha 01V96i ASIO input.

Currently, only ASIO input is supported in Aximmetry; ASIO output is not supported.

Note: In Aximmetry, “tracks” are referred to as “channels.” You can select or combine them using the Audio Channel or Audio Merger modules in the Flow Editor.
The Audio Channel of the Device Mapper is obsolete. It was used by functionalities that long ago changed. We plan to remove it from the Device Mapper in a future version.

Warmest regards,
