Aximmitry For Unreal 4.25 Support

Hi guys

Just wondering if Aximmity has a public road map or given dates that show when compatibility with unreal 4.25 or more will be coming.

Thanks Declan

Hi Declan,
We cannot tell an exact date, but it is expected in a few weeks.

I agree with Declan.  Getting Aximmetry onto newer versions of Unreal would be great.  I teach at a technology high school and I use Unreal Engine and Unity in my Video Game Design classes.  We are currently working on a cross curriculum course using Virtual Production between the 3D Modeling and Animation classes, Video Game Design classes, and the Video Production classes.  I was really excited about Aximmetry and got it all set up in our lab but as soon I started trying to move content from 4.25 to the older 4,24 I realized this was not going to work so well.  I knew they were not backwards compatible so I thought I would just use 4.24 for my classes.  This is not possible if I want to keep my classes moving forward with the latest in Unreal Engine and getting the Unreal Market place to recognize the Unreal Engine from Aximmetry DE doesn't seem to work.  I might be missing something and if I am, please let me know.  Is there a time line for updating to Unreal 4.25 or even more currently 4.26 (which is still beta like)?

As someone who relies on Aximmetry DE being stable in live productions every day, I prefer that it’s thoroughly tested before a something major like a version upgrade. None of the other broadcast implementations of UE4 have been updated to 4.25 until last week, so I think not being on the cutting edge is something we’ll have to learn to live with.

As for Marketplace content, you can easily install that to Aximmetry DE, by first installing the content to a regular 4.24 installation. Then you can just open that project in the Aximmetry UE4 editor.

Thank you for your reply.  To clarify, I was not implying that Aximmetry should throw away their older more stable versions.  I am asking for early access to newer versions that we can start to develop with and try out new capabilities both in Aximmetry and in Unreal.  I can download early release versions of Unreal and Unity knowing they have "features" but I can start to test new concepts. That way those of us in the industry can lock down on a version for production but still test and develop on newer platforms.  I do not like being the guy 3 steps behind everyone else and I do not teach my students to be that either.  As far as downloading older versions of Unreal to develop my content and moving it over, that is what I have done since I started using Aximmetry.  It is a method, but can I not ask for a better pipeline?  How many versions of Unreal do I need on my computers?  I am not knocking Aximmetry DE.  It is a great product.  I was just asking for a little more.

aximmeitry is a very good product. Its scope of use should not be limited to virtual studios. It should be expanded with better  Dashboard and interactive modules, so that it can be conveniently applied to the performance and conference market, because the demand for MR is increasing. aximmeitry itself has JSON function, but it is currently unable to communicate with UE. I hope that the new version will improve more variable communication and have more Dashboard functions.
