Turn Off Virtual Cam Overlay

Hello,

unfortunately, I somehow can't remember how to turn off the virtual cam overlay. I only want to have the tracked Aximmetry camera view showing in the preview/out/screen windows without the virtual cam plane. But when I'm switching from local to remote the input changes etc.. I simply want to put Cam 1 off completely. But it's just possible to choose from the mapped slots and there is no feature to just turn it off or invisible or something.

Could you tell me where to switch it off?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Martin,

I’m not sure what your goal is.
If you want to completely turn off a camera (INPUT), you can do this using the button shown below:
Turn Off Virtual Cam Overlay

However, in most cases, it’s better to turn off the last cameras in the list rather than the first ones, as this will cause less confusion. Note that you can easily copy and paste the settings of a selected control board panel using CTRL + C and CTRL + V.

Thank you for the quick response. Actually, I just wanted to turn off the video input plane (virtual cam 1) completely to just see the Unreal Engine scene input. I know now that I'm basically using the wrong compound and I have switched to the LED wall compound. But I'm still wondering if I still would be able to just switch the cam input plane on and off. The input button turns everything on and off if I'm not mistaken.

Hi Martin,

In that case, you should turn on the Digital Extension and turn off every LED Wall panels:

Be aware that when you turn the walls back on, you may see a few black frames if Picture Delay is used.
If you need to make this change during production and want to avoid those black frames, don’t turn off the LED Wall panels; instead, keep the LED Walls enabled and either move the LED Wall Transformations far away or set their Size to 0,0.
Edit: It is better to simply use Digital Ext Thru, as said in my next comment

Thank you for the hint.

I will try that or maybe just use Aximmetry as it's intended and create separate projects ;-)

Hi,

Actually, I forgot there is a Digital Ext Thru option, which is a better solution than simply turning off the LED Walls. To display only the virtual graphics, you just need to turn off Digital Ext Thru on each LED Wall panel

More about it here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/led-wall-production/using-led-walls-for-virtual-production/#additions-to-the-final-image
