Hello Aximmetry forum
I recently moved a project from one computer to the other, including the .xcomp file and unreal engine project.
The project has a recording that includes camera tracking data in a .xdata file and a .mov file that I have moved to the other pc as well.
When I play the recording in the input tab, all works well. I can see the recording play out, with the augmented segment from unreal just fine.
My question is:
How can I play back the same recording, but have a different unreal scene playing? When I try and change the unreal level, all of the original flow connection vanish from the unreal node, and I am left with a blank recording when I hit play. I have tried making the new level a child of the original level, but that freezez the computer. I want the whole project to stay as is, but with a different map\level playing
Any help would be greatly appriciated
Hi,
There are a couple of ways to switch between levels (maps), and it can get quite complicated. We have a detailed page on this subject here:
The flow connections probably disappeared because, in the new level, you don't have the Aximmetry camera added.https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/obtaining-graphics-and-virtual-assets/creating-content-for-aximmetry-de/advanced-information-and-features/switching-scenes-with-levels/
If you can get the "child level" system working, you only need to add the Aximmetry camera to the parent level. By the way, the parent level is called the Persistent Level. It’s best to create the Persistent Level as a new level without any other content except for the Aximmetry Camera. The page I linked also discusses this in the second method (Level Switch with Stream Level).
Warmest regards,
