47.97 fps for a music video, is this possible?

Hi, I have a client that wants to  make a music video using our Aximmetry system and wants to shoot at double the broadcast frame rate of 23.98fps, which is 47.97fps for a slow motion effect that makes the singer seem to sing the song in real time, but the action is seen slow motion when played back in 24fps. I typically shoot at a clean 24pfs and want to see if there are any workflows that can accomodate this process in Aximmetry. Thanks for your comments and insight.

Hi,

You can set Aximmetry to render at any frame rate you need by selecting the "Custom" option in the Frame rate setting:
47.97 fps for a music video, is this possible?

For best results, ensure your physical camera also records at the same frame rate (47.97 fps). You must record in real-time during live production, so your final video file will also have a 47.97 fps frame rate.

In post-production, you can use the Video Player’s Frames pin. Turning this on will make Aximmetry playback one new video frame per rendered frame, regardless of the video file’s frame rate. Then if you set the Aximmetry rendering frame rate to 23.98 fps, your 47.97 fps video file will be played back in slow motion, as you wanted:

You can then record your video or post-production at any desired frame rate. For more details on recording at custom frame rates in post-production, refer to the Offline Rendering section here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/setting-up-inputs-outputs-for-virtual-production/video/recording/how-to-record-camera-tracking-data/#offline-rendering

Warmest regards,
