Double Depth of field compensation for LED Walls

Hello everyone!

My studio recently got an LED wall to try out and see if we can benefit from it. One of the things that I'm running into is managing the depth of field. I know we are getting double depth of field since we have the camera's and unreal engine's. I'm wondering if we can utilize unreal engine's DoF compensation or if there were any solutions in Aximmetry for handling Double DoF.

Thanks a bunch!

Hi,

Currently, the LED Wall compound does not support double depth of field (DOF). However, we plan to include this feature in the future. If more users request it, we may prioritize its development.

Note that LED Wall compounds use a single focus value for the image (frustum) displayed on the LED wall. You can set this Focus Distance in the Frustum panel:

For many productions, it is best to keep your set in focus by your physical camera. Having a fixed custom focus distance for the Frustum can help conceal imperfections in the picture and can also add realism to the scene.

If you want to animate or change the focus dynamically, you can overwrite the Focus Distance value in Control Data using the Set Collection Scalar module. To do this, set the Key pin to "Cam Focus":

Warmest regards,
