I am currently using Aximmetry 2023.3.2 DE version together with UE5.3 Aximmetry.
I’m trying to install the FAB UE Plugin, but I’m experiencing issues.
Following the official documentation, I first installed the FAB UE Plugin for UE5.3.2 via the Epic Games Launcher, and then copied the plugin folder into my Aximmetry project folder as instructed.
However, I keep getting the following errors alternately when I try to open UE5.3.2 Aximmetry:
Plugin ‘Fab’ failed to load because module ‘Fab’ could not be found. Please ensure the plugin is properly installed, otherwise consider disabling the plugin for this project.
and
The following modules are missing or built with a different engine version: Fab
Engine modules cannot be compiled at runtime. Please build through your IDE.
Because of this, UE5.3.2 Aximmetry does not launch properly, and I can’t proceed.
I have checked the forums but couldn’t find a clear solution.
I would greatly appreciate your help to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
Please somebody help me!
Hi,
You can install FAB on Aximmetry version 2023.3.2 by following the documentation found here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/archives/virtual-production-workflow-old-documents/preparation-of-the-production-environment-phase-i/obtaining-graphics-and-virtual-assets/creating-content/creating-content-for-aximmetry-de/installing-plugins-before-aximmetry-2024-1/
After downloading the FAB plugin, you must move it to the Plugins\Marketplace folder, rather than just having it in the Plugins folder.
Note: In later versions of Aximmetry, the plugin installation process has changed. Refer to this documentation for Aximmetry versions 2024.1.0 and later: https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/obtaining-graphics-and-virtual-assets/creating-content-for-aximmetry-de/advanced-information-and-features/how-to-install-third-party-code-plugins-for-unreal-editor-for-aximmetry/
Warmest regards,
