Hello,
I think the title of the post is self-explanatory, but to summarize. We are an education company and have a team that creates and records videos. We want to implement the software for them to use. However, when testing the trial version, we found a situation where, when the program was installed by our support team, who have administrator permissions on the machines, and used by them, everything worked correctly. However, when users try to use the program, they are always asked to elevate their user permissions, preventing them from using the program.
Due to security policies, only the IT team has administrator rights on the machines. Is there a way to configure it so that a user without administrator rights can use Aximmetry Broadcast? Or is there a document stating that higher privileges are required to use the program?
One last observation is that when users log into the machine they create a profile on it.
Hi,
Administrator rights are required only during the installation of Aximmetry. Once installation is complete, there should not be any further need for administrator privileges.Aximmetry settings are saved per Windows user profile. When a new user is created, they will start with the default Aximmetry settings.
Note that Aximmetry adds several firewall exceptions during installation to support its various features. However, if you have antivirus or security software, it might override these exceptions for non-administrator users or create conflicts. It is recommended to test a network-dependent feature (such as NDI) after installation using at least one new user account to ensure that everything works correctly.
Warmest regards,
