Audio issues with Decklink Mini Monitor card

I am running Broadcast DE. I use a Blackmagic Duo  for my 4  video inputs and a Blackmagic Mini monitor  providing SDI and HDMI outputs. I am  configured for 1080i  59.94. My audio output off the SDI on the BM  Mini Monitor   is unstable. It always starts off sounding OK when I open a project, but after 20 to 30 minutes,  audio becomes garbled. I can  correct it by doing  a few things:

- do nothing, and after about 20 to 30 minutes it magically clears

- go to the Video Outputs  tab, select the output card and  toggle the video format from 1080i  to  any other format , then going back to 1080i.  This  works most times, however  doing this  would crash the application, which  would mean doing a restart. 'Any idea how I can fix this ,  Would I have  better luck using an  8  port BM  card like the DeckLink Quad 2  ,  configuring some of the ports as inputs and one as the output.

@Eiffert: Any suggestions for this Mini Monitor audio issue. I am running Windows 11 and the BM driver is 12.8.1

Hi Linford,

Which version of Aximmetry are you using?  Also, does Aximmetry's Processor Load panel show any values in red? If your computer runs out of resources, it can cause audio crackling. As a first test, I recommend keeping all other settings the same and switching from interlaced output (59.94i) to progressive output (59.94p), and make sure that all other settings are also set to progressive.

I don't think the issue is related to your capture card's model, but if you have a DeckLink Quad 2 available, it is worth trying it out. Doing so may provide us with additional information to help identify what could be causing the problem.

Warmest regards,

@Eiffert: I am  running  2024 .3.0 . No issues wthh  processor load .  I am set up  for  interlaced so doing progressive is not  practical. I read  that  there are  sometimes  issues with  BM 12.8.1 and  Windows 11.   It was suggested that  I  downgrade to 12.6. I did  and it  seems  more  stable . I will monitor   and see if that's the issue
