Hi there, I am interested in mapping using signals from my SPEN into Aximmetry. I believe I need an intermediary software like: SPEN-to-PC https://github.com/th3-s7r4ng3r/SPEN-To-PC-WindowsApp/wiki to receive the signals (which are over TCP). I am however having trouble seeing let alone mapping these signals into Aximmetry. I know the connection is working since I check using Wireshark. I have seen and article about using TCP modules (which don't show up in my Aximmetry)
https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/setting-up-inputs-outputs-for-virtual-production/external-controllers/using-udp-and-tcp-in-aximmetry/
So therefore I thought it had become obsolete and that the signal need to be mapped to OSC instead. How would I go about doing this?
Hi,
The TCP modules are not visible because a Professional or Broadcast license is required. You can find more information about this here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/supported-hardware/controllers/controllers/#udp-and-tcpOSC, on the other hand, is available in all versions. However, I did not find any reference to OSC on that GitHub page. Therefore, you probably need to use TCP, provided the app allows for the use or interception of its TCP communication.
If you cannot find the TCP packages within Aximmetry using the TCP Client module, you can use a third-party application like Wireshark to analyze all ongoing TCP traffic on your computer.
Warmes regards,
