Hi,
I am experiencing an issue with the Aximmetry_Reflection_Catcher while using an AR camera. I added reflection effects, but the reflections of both the car and text contain significant noise and some broken surfaces.
I have tried adjusting the CATCHERS settings (reflection strength and blur), which helps mitigate the issue but does not completely resolve the problem. I also attempted increasing the lighting, but this seemed to make the reflection artifacts even more pronounced.
Regarding possible model-related issues:
- The text was generated using Text 3D, so it is not an imported model.
- I also tested simpler materials, but the issue persists.
I am currently using Aximmetry 2024.3.0. Could you please advise on potential solutions or if this is a known issue?
Thank you for your support.
Best regards,
Hi,
We haven't encountered such an artifact before.
It could potentially be an issue related to your hardware. I recommend updating your GPU drivers, as a similar issue was resolved for someone else by doing so: https://forums.unrealengine.com/t/what-are-these-flickering-black-spots-in-reflection/833381
Also, try adjusting some of the related project settings in Unreal Engine. For instance, consider modifying the global illumination, reflection method, and anti-aliasing methods within the Project Settings. It may also help to disable any ray-tracing features. Check to see if any of these changes affect the artifacts.
Warmest regards,
