How to receive AGTP

I have the first cut of the AGTP output out of Jetset ready to test.

I know nothing about Aximmetry.

Can someone point me to the best doc to read to do a Hello World that would print out the basic fields and let me see a camera move to check my coordinate systems.

Hi,

Just a reminder that we have detailed documentation available here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/welcome-to-the-aximmetry-knowledge-base/
If you have any additional questions, feel free to ask on the forum!

I have successfully tested my AGTP packets with the BasicCalib.exe program.

If I send the following:

  • Header
  • Frame Rate
  • Field of View
  • Sensor Information
  • Basic Lens Distortion
  • Position

The tracking works correctly.

However, if I add the timecode element, the packets are no longer received correctly. Specifically, no position is updated in the lower-right corner of BasicCalib.

I don't have a video source with timecode available. My video input is a CamLink USB dongle.

Does the video input affect the AGTP parsing?

Hi,

Whether or not you send the timecode shouldn't impact the BasicCalib. There is no timecode sync in BasicCalib.
I recommend debugging by utilizing the Camera Tracking module in Aximmetry Composer. You can find more information on that here:
https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/tracking/how-to-set-up-tracking-systems-in-aximmetry/

Additionally, note that since Aximmetry version 2025.1.0, you now can view the raw unprocessed data of your packets with the Camera Tracking module:

Warmest regards,
