Hello!
I would like to understand how the "Camera" Node works.
It outputs a video out, but how can I choose which signal is being outputed? Looking in the Node settings I can't find a "Video/Device" input/selector.
PS: sorry if this information is already in a documentation, but i couldn't find it.
Thanks!
Hi,
The Camera module in Aximmetry functions as a virtual camera. It generates a video of rendered virtual 3D objects/models.
Note that Aximmetry can render virtual scenes similarly to Unreal. When Aximmetry renders a virtual scene, it uses this Camera module to do so.
We have comprehensive documentation on creating and rendering virtual scenes with Aximmetry, which you can start exploring here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/obtaining-graphics-and-virtual-assets/creating-content-in-aximmetry-se/introduction/
If you found this Camera module within a Camera compound, it could for example be rerendering the Video Input's image from a different camera angle than your real-world camera. In this case, the Video Input's image is connected to a Billboard compound, which has modules to project the video onto a rectangular model, that is being rendered by the Camera module.
Warmest regards,
