Aximmetry Crashing when turning off Allow Virtuals (2024.3.0)

Hello!

I’m having issues opening a project in Unreal Engine 5.4 (Aximmetry 2024.3.0).

When I deactivate Allow Virtuals, Aximmetry crashes.

However, when I open the same project in Unreal 5.3 (Aximmetry 2024.2.0), I don’t encounter this problem.

This is the set that I´m trying to open: https://www.fab.com/pt-br/listings/bb42311f-1ef3-45d0-8060-9341610e6519

A second problem using the set is, as you can see in the video I added in the Google Drive Folder, the Billboard is very blurry. I know the video is in low resolution too, but the billboard is very distorted as well.
Could you help me identify what might be causing this issue? Thank you!

I don’t know about the crashing, but have you adjusted the project settings for working with Aximmetry, according to their documentation? I recommend starting with turning off Ray Traced translucency in the PostProcessVolume and changing it to Raster. You should also try turning off Allow Virtuals in the Cameras panel inside Aximmetry.

That is it! I changed the Translucency from Ray Traced to Raster and now it's not crashing anymore when I turn off Allow Virtuals.

Thank you very much, TwentyStudios!

Hi,

Green Screen cameras (those that use billboards), do not support Ray Tracing Ambient Occlusion and Ray Tracing Translucency. You can find more information on this here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/green-screen-production/aximmetry-de-scene-setup-green-screen/#ray-tracing
However Unreal shouldn't crash just because it is turned on, we are aware of this crash and it will be fixed in the next version of Aximmetry.

Warmest regards,
