As we all know by now, the Quixel bridge plugin is depreciated and replaced by the Fab plugin.
Has anyone had any success in installing that in Unreal editor for Aximmetry?
I copied over the folder from standard Unreal as per documetation and got the plugin working, however I got
cooking errors after and had to remove it. The project cooked fine without the plugin installed.
Hi,
Are you experiencing cooking errors with the Fab plugin?
We have tested the Fab plugin and found no issues with it.
First, install the Fab UE Plugin to the original Unreal Engine. The Fab plugin should automatically appear in your Library (there is no need to add it manually):
Once installed, move the plugin to the Unreal Editor for Aximmetry by following these instructions: https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/obtaining-graphics-and-virtual-assets/creating-content-for-aximmetry-de/advanced-information-and-features/how-to-install-third-party-code-plugins-for-unreal-editor-for-aximmetry/
After this, it should appear in Unreal Editor for Aximmetry:
You should then be able to cook without issues. If you continue to experience cooking problems, please share the error messages here so we can assist further.
For anyone else reading this, please note that the Quixel Bridge plugin no longer supports asset downloads. You need to install the new Fab plugin instead.
Warmest regards,
