Hi all!
I recorded tracking data in Aximmetry to an fbx, to rebuild the shot later in post because we need a higher resolution we could achieve realtime. I import this data to a camera in unreal, works great! I do need to parent the camera to an actor and rotate it 90 on the Z axis, and then it lines up perfectly.
I exported a .ulens file from the Vive Callibration tool from the same setting I used it to export the callibration file for Aximmetry, however when I add the .ulens to a Lens Component on the Camera in Unreal, it overrides the Focal length from the tracking data in a level sequence. The distortion looks good though, but I lose the Focal Length..
Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!!!
Cheers, Niels
Hi Niels,
Are you certain you want to use the Unreal Editor for post-rendering?
If your goal is simply to achieve a higher resolution in the post, Aximmetry can handle that. You just need to set the Video Recorder module to a frame rate instead of real-time. For more details on offline recording, you can visit this link: https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/setting-up-inputs-outputs-for-virtual-production/video/recording/video-recording-and-image-capturing/#offline-recording
Additionally, note that you can render up to 8K resolution in Aximmetry. You can even automatically downsample that to 4K if needed by using a Placer module set to Fill Fit Mode and with a specified Out Size.
Warmest regards,
