UE 5.4 Motion Design Plugin - SVG Import Issue + Crash on "Bake to Blueprint"

I'm experiencing a consistent crash in Unreal Editor for Aximmetry (version 2024.3.0 BETA) when working with the Motion Design Plugin's SVG import feature in UE 5.4. Here are the details:

  1. Issue Description:

    • I'm importing an SVG file that contains multiple layers.
    • After tweaking separate layers and saving the project, the changes revert to default settings when I reopen the project.
    • Additionally, when I try to use the "Bake to Blueprint" function to lock these changes in and avoid the reset issue, Unreal Editor crashes immediately.

Is anyone else encountering this issue or aware of any workarounds? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mauro,

I didn't find any problem with the SVG actor. I can tweak the graphical elements of the SVG in Unreal and then bake it to a Blueprint without experiencing any crashes or reversion. The baking process successfully generates multiple files from the SVG.

Did you receive any error messages? If not, the Unreal Editor saves a log of each run in your project's Saved\Logs folder. You can open the .log file in that folder with a text editor to see if it contains any errors related to your crash in the last lines.

You should consider reporting this issue to Unreal; they might be able to help.

Warmest regards,
