Aximmetry 2024.3.0 Beta and Decklink Mini Monitor

@Eiffert : The "device unavailable" issue when using the Decklink Mini monitor as a second BM card in Aximmetry 2024.2  has been fixed in the 2024.3.0 Beta version. I am trying to use this card in order to generate an HDMI and SDI output.  My  configuration is a BM  Decklink Duo 2 card for three camera SDI in and one genlock in, and the Mini Monitor card. I have  three monitors , one for the Control Panel, one as a Preview monitor and the third as an output monitor. All of these are fed from the 4090  RTX video card.  I need to find a way of using the Mini monitor for additional outputs.  I can do this now but at the sacrifice of my existing output monitor. In Manage Devices   I cannot assign the same output to the Mini Monitor and  Decklink Duo 2 at the same time, - Its  either one or the other. How can I achieve this.

Thanks

Hi Linford,

To output the same video to two output slots, you need to generate a new output channel.
The easiest way to achieve this is by using the Copy Video module:
Aximmetry 2024.3.0 Beta and Decklink Mini Monitor

By doing so, you will create a new output channel that you can then use on the other output:
Aximmetry 2024.3.0 Beta and Decklink Mini Monitor

Note that while you can connect a pin to any number of modules, you can only connect a pin once to the right (Output) or the left side (Dashboard) of the Flow Editor. Dotted lines highlight these connections.

Warmest regards,

I am using 2024.3.0 Beta  having  previously used 2024.2.0. For my purposes the 2024.2.0 was adequate.  I am having issues with the new Beta version,  which I have posted in the Forum, including experiencing some occasional freezing up of  Aximmetry. The  project  freezes up  for about 5  seconds  and  reverts to normal after.  My  main reason  for using the Beta , was that I needed to have   a second BM card. in order to generate  more  outputs. The  previous version didn't allow that. The issue  has  bene cured in the Beta  and it  works well.

Is it  possible to get a  patch  for the 2024.2.0  to allow  the use of that second  BM card

Hi Linford,

We would prefer to find a fix or solution for the freezing issue, as it might be linked to using the two cards together. Could you let us know if this problem occurs with every project? For instance, does it happen when using Aximmetry's studio library scenes, such as the [Studio]:News Room/News Room - VirtualCam_3-Cam.xcomp? Additionally, does the freezing occur when you have no input from the capture cards or when you only use input from one capture card?

Warmest regards,

Eiffert,

I have been using my own scenes, not the Aximmetry ones. I always have three cameras connected to the BM Decklink Duo 2 card and one monitor connected to the  BM Mini Monitor. I have not tried with only one input. Note the program doesn't crash - just freezes for 5 to 7 seconds

Hi Linford,

I was curious to learn this information so we could pinpoint the source of the issue.

We are aware of a similar issue that is linked to the capture card. So if you don't have any input from capture cards, the UI will probably not freeze momentarily. Additionally, it is very likely that this issue occurs in previous versions of Aximmetry. Therefore, reverting to Aximmetry 2024.2.0 wouldn't fix it, and applying the second BM card fix to that version wouldn't provide this benefit.

Warmest regards,
