Error in Unreal Latest beta: 2024.3.0 BETA
Hi,
Unfortunately, this was omitted from the changelog:
There is a new item that needs to be installed with Visual Studio. In the Individual Components tab, please select MSVC v143 - VS 2022 C++ x64/x86 build tools (v14.38-17.8).
More on it here: https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/preparation-of-the-production-environment-phase-i/starting-with-aximmetry/how-to-install-aximmetry/#aximmetry-de
Note that the absence of this component should also be mentioned in your cooking error message. Please let us know if installing it resolves your cooking error.
Warmest regards,
Hi,
If you are having problems with cooking an Unreal project with Motion Design, we found the issue causing it. You can read the fix here: https://my.aximmetry.com/post/4179-unreal-editor---aximmetry-202430-beta-er
Warmest regards,
When updating to a new major UE5 version, things often break. That isn’t specific to Aximmetry, although it can of course be something specific to Aximmetry as well.
You just have to look at the cooking error log and try to figure out what’s causing the issue. More often than not it’s caused by some plugin, so disable any plugins you don’t need for the project.
