This is a limitation of Unreal and how it handles translucent materials and shadows. You should read up on solutions to this in the usual UE5 forums, since this isn’t really related to Aximmetry.
My suggestion would be to forget the idea of casting shadow on the billboard completely. It will never look realistic since you’re just casting shadows on a flat plane. Get a gobo light with a foliage pattern and cast real shadows on the talent instead.
