Hello Aximmetry team,
I contact you because i am out of options and sources of information online.
Here is my setup: 2 base stations and 1 vive tracker 3.0 on my camera (i have a spare one) but the one thing is i don't have the Mars and rovers system.
So i cannot use the FreeD protocol to calibrate things.
Instead i use the 6dof calibration, everything is fine for the camera calibration part with the Fx9 and the tracker in forward position (i checked the up-rotated option too and it didn't change anything).
Once i get to calibrate the floor, this is where things don't react correctly.
Once i take the final picture of the floor marker and i get to press test calibration, whenever i tilt the camera up or even move the camera to face the center of the greenscreen, the floor lifts up and doesn't stay in place.
(i tried setting the origin-forward-right positions with my camera tracker on the floor, in the camera tracker options, but nothing happened)
Do you have any idea what i could do to get the tracking to work? this is definetly the last step before i get to finally use the tech for virtual production.
Thank you!
Mickael N.
Standard Vive is notoriously unreliable for camera tracking. Did you use your spare Vive tracker (placed on the floor) to set the “world zero”? Are you using the standard Aximmetry calibration checkerboard and have you verified that it’s the correct size if you’ve printed it yourself?
