Setting tracking delay when playing back Tracked recorded camera

The tracking + video recorder works great in Aximmetry, the problem we ran into is the following:
The system is completely genlocked, and during the recording the camera+tracking is synced perfectly.

We are using Timecode as supplied from the camera through SDI for the recordings.

When we click replay it still looks good with the video file that Aximmetry recorded.

However when we change the video file to the high quality one recorded by the camera we run into an approx 3 frame delay of the tracking.

So somehow there is a steady disconnect between the internal camera recording and the recording of Aximmetry.

My question is:
Is there an easy way for delaying the high quality external .mov playback inside Aximmetry?
Of course we can go in and edit the file's metadata using ffmpeg to correct for this discrepancy, but we hope there is an easier / friendlier solution for this.

I ended up adding a 1 frame delay to the camera node and solving this issue.

It works, and I guess this is the AXIMMETRY WAY :D But maybe adding an option to the (rather empty) playback button would make sense.

I can confirm having the same issue, but even the playback with the "proxy" file is out of sync. I always have to fix it in the nodes like you did. A "tracking delay" and "camera delay" option would be great!

Hi Chinzillafilms,

That is strange. The tracking and the input recorded by Aximmetry should be in sync, just as they were during the recording. The recording will save the delays you set in the INPUT panel:

However, when using video recorded by the studio camera, it may be necessary to add a different delay. Currently, there is no parameter for this in the camera compounds. We have added this to our request list and will consider including it in future releases. In the meantime, you can use the solutions with the delayer modules like the one presented in the previous posts.
