Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle

Hi there,

I am running tests with Aximmetry SE (community version) with a view to use at an events studio we are setting up over the coming months, However, I am having a lot of trouble using an Intensity Shuttle for HDMI video input. I have tried multiple resolutions and framerates (all of which appear on-screen in OBS and BMD Media Express without problem). Also, a number of different devices - for example cameras outputting HDMI directly and some of our HD-SDI cameras running over both BMD and AJA converters. Again, these appear in other applications fine.

Is there any particluar set-up or version of the Desktop Video Suite I should be using? Or any other suggestions. I have tested on a couple of different PC's also and had similar issues - the error Video: Blackmagic : Intensity Shuttle : No Input. Works wonderfully on the few occasions I have got it working.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

M

Have you made sure that you’ve selected the resolution and frame rate on the input in Aximmetry that exactly matches your camera settings? Aximmetry doesn’t auto-detect the input format, so you have to set it manually.

Thanks for the help. Got this sorted eventually. Everything seems much more stable with a slightly older version of the Blackmagic drivers - I seemed to be having significiant frame dropout with the newest drivers. This looked fine in OBS but any movement in the image showed dropped frames - I think this is what caused the input error/no input message in Aximmetry.

Also, I mistakenly thought I could output and input simultaneously with the Intensity Shuttle but this kills the input (with same no input message). Am I correct in this?
