AV1 Playback Issue with 2024.1.0

I had been rendering AV1 encoded video from OBS (Open Broadcast Software) into a Video Player within Aximmetry flawlessly with 2023.2.2, but when I updated to 2024.1.0, playback of AV1 encoded video began to look corrupt (creates a duplicate of the video, loses color).

Below I'll show examples of what the AV1 video looks like in both versions of Aximmetry, a link to a sample video encoded with AV1, and my OBS encoding settings. Also, I'm using a 4070TI GPU to render the AV1 video with a Win10 machine. Let me know if you need any other info. Note that I don't include a screenshot of my Aximmetry project, but I don't think it's needed because of the screenshot of the Video Player's preview thumbnail breaking with 2024.1.0, which "should" have nothing to do with my project.

The "TV" in the jungle below has the Video Player placed on top of it and I used OBS to use AV1 to encode the Aximmetry output and save it as an mp4.

Here's the AV1 encoded video looking correct in 2023.2.2:

Any insight on this from Aximmetry's side?

Hi,

Thank you for sharing the video and the detailed description. We have identified the cause of the issue, and it is very likely that it will be fixed in the next version of Aximmetry.

Warmest regards,

Hi,

The issue you're experiencing with the incorrect playback of AV1 10-bit video files has been fixed in version 2024.2.0, which was released today. Please note that the 2024.2.0 BETA version did not contain this fix.

Best regards,
