Please ensure you download the latest version of Aximmetry Eye, version 1.0(20). Aximmetry 2024.1 is compatible only with this version or later ones.

In Aximmetry Composer, there is no need for any setup. Aximmetry Eye will automatically be recognized as an input and output option once it is connected. However, in the Broadcast version, you should verify that the option Preferences > HTTP Control > Enable HTTP control is enabled.

App version 1.0 (24) and Aximmetry version 2024.1. 

The error still exists.

Yes, for Aximmetry Eye to run without errors, Aximmetry Composer needs to be open and actively running on your PC.

By running, I am referring to the step beyond simply launching the application. Specifically, you must progress past the Composer Startup Configuration window:

You won't even see Aximmetry Eye as a Video Output Device in the Composer Startup Configuration.

Instead, if you intend to set Aximmetry Eye as a Video Output Device, you can do so within the Edit > Video Outputs window found in the actively running Composer:

I opened Aximmetry and pressed Start.

Unfortunately, the error still occurs.

Do I possibly need an NDI? (I only have the Studio version).

It will work with the Studio version, there are no license limitations.

Aximmetry Eye does not use the NDI feature or protocol, it uses SRT.
Therefore, when you open the Video Outputs:

You should expect to see the Aximmetry Eye displayed like this:

Note, again that this is not the Composer Startup Configuration window.
Also, ensure that the Aximmetry Eye is connected to your PC's IP address before you open the Video Outputs window and the Receive Preview Stream is turned on.

Unfortunately, there is still no connection between the app and PC. There is always an “unexpected error”. What else can I do?

I'm having the same issue. IP connectivity is working. I can't see any video from the iPhone into Aximmetry

DaSchuh and Cp2carello, I recommend reinstalling the Aximmetry Eye app on your device. Additionally, please ensure that you have granted all the permissions it requests. For instance, the permission to search for and connect to devices on available networks must be enabled.

When you launch Aximmetry Eye, do you see your computer listed in the Available Machines list? Note that Aximmetry must be actively running on your PC to appear in this list:

Cp2carello, does the error message "Error - An unexpected error occurred during Aximmetry communication" appear for you after the app has been loading for about 10 seconds?

I have now discovered the source of the error!

In the wifi/network settings of the Iphone there are the following settings => WLAN => <your WLAN> info => private WLAN address

This changing MAC address (useful for data protection reasons in public WLANs) must be switched off! 

Now the connection finally works and I get to the next menu of Aximmetry Eye!

Are you sure this setting caused the "Error - An unexpected error occurred during Aximmetry communication"?

If that's the case, your network router or a firewall on your computer may have rules in place to quarantine new devices based on their MAC address.

Hi, yes I'm pretty sure that this setting caused the error (at least it finally worked after that). In my router the devices are assigned to the normal IP addresses. But what else is noticeable. In the Aximmetry Eye app, no devices are displayed for me to select. I have to enter the IP manually.
