Broadcast DE 2024.1.0 on Windows 11 / Unreal issue

 

Hi there.

Since our IT decided to migrate to Windows 11 we just encountered an issue when cooking the UE Project for Axy. Cooking failed and the log said:

Platform Win64 is not a valid platform to build. Check that the SDK is installed properly.
BuildException: Platform Win64 is not a valid platform to build. Check that the SDK is installed properly.

We installed Visual Studio 2022 Community which fixed the problem.
But maybe those files could be automagically installed during the regular installation process?

Hi Eric,

Does your project include any plugins that weren't enabled by default? Due to the new plugin installation process, Visual Studio 2022 may be required for some of these plugins, whereas it may not have been necessary before.
