Aximmetry UE does not compile Luma AI plugin

 

Hi there, 

I've followed the instructions for building 3rd party plugins, even did a fresh Windows install, and I still get: Could not build LumaAIPlugin. (UnrealBuildTool exited with 6.). The plugin will not be installed. 

I've gotten other plugins to compile successfully in UE Aximmetry. I have also gone through other suggestions in the forums here. I have downloaded the most recent version of the plugin from Marketplace. 

Any  suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

As of now, the LumAI plugin only works in Live Sync mode. For more information on Live Sync mode, please refer to our documentation here:  https://aximmetry.com/learn/virtual-production-workflow/preparation-of-the-production-environment-phase-i/obtaining-graphics-and-virtual-assets/creating-content/creating-content-for-aximmetry-de/ue5-how-to-install-and-work-with-the-unreal-engine-based-de-edition/#interactive-editing 
This is because the LumAI plugin does not include source code. However, this will change in the forthcoming version of Aximmetry. In the upcoming release, you will be able to use the LumAI plugin even in cooked mode or any other plugins that do not include source code.

I will take a look at this documentation. Do you have an approximate timeframe for when the new version of Aximmetry will be released?

Hi,

The new version of Aximmetry, 2024.1.0, has been released. You should now be able to use Luma AI in cooked mode without any issues.

Furthermore, the newest version of Aximmetry introduces a modified process for installing plugins in the Unreal Editor for Aximmetry.
