Hi there,
does Aximmetry officially support NDI HX3 in the Broadcast Edition? If so, since which software version of Aximmetry?
Kind regards,
Dennis

If I’m not mistaken, receiving NDI HX3 in Aximmetry is already supported, so it’s just sending HX3 that’s missing.
I think the case for supporting HX3 out is pretty clear. NDI is its own ecosystem with specific hardware and software support, and SRT doesn’t usually integrate with this. HX3 is a more modern codec with much lower network bandwidth requirements than standard NDI at the same perceived image quality, so HX3 output support would certainly be a welcome addition to Aximmetry.
Hi,
We've included full HX3 support in our requested feature list and will consider its integration in future releases. Please note, as TwentyStudios has indicated, that although HX3 utilizes less bandwidth than standard NDI, it does so at the cost of reduced video quality.
Warmest regards,
Hi Dennis,
Unfortunately, we do not possess currently a device capable of directly sending HX3 that I know of. However, based on information from unofficial sources, it appears that any software supporting NDI version 5.0 or higher should be capable of receiving HX3.
Hi Dennis,
Unfortunately, we currently do not support HX3. For sending compressed video through the network, we recommend using SRT.
If you have any specific limitations that necessitate the use of HX3, we would be interested in learning more about your circumstances.
Warmest regards,
